1.
Make Meat 01:14
To side step or crawl you have to first learn to talk To make meat "oh" you have to first make war And your no little boy you can make, break, search, and destroy And your grand father told you there is no one else like you no there's no one else like you no there's no one quite like you
2.
It's funny how a speck of sunlight on a railing makes me feel like you're right there, I should feel like running but it's warm and your memory makes me Happy in my mind you dance in and out of this world for a tender youth of eight-teen you are my great grandmother you're already passed on to the next life tell me what happens next for me How many more times must I get my heart ripped open "half fast" Why didn't you kill me when you had the chance? I never wish to see your face again unless it's pressed against mine! From home you're just a phone call away and so far nothin' Happy by myself throwin' parties Happy by myself throwing parties for imaginary elves who take me to a land of old houses in my winter hearse drive through blouses of last chances distant dim glances!
3.
Tick Tock 02:56
Change my tires when I don't roll no more Plug in my wires when I can't talk at all The change in tide when the moon dies alone If you are not God then how will we get on I'm a tick tock I need to be wound up You know it won't stop Wondering how I'll end up Change my tires when I don't roll no more

about

This EP— the 9th installment of our Free EP of the Month series— is not actually by "AKUDAMA", but rather by Blake Charleton, our very own nice-guy-with-a-lot-to-hide singer/songwriter/dude/man.
These songs were written, performed, and recorded by Mr. B himself.
This is a glimpse into how a lot of Aku songs begin— rough ideas straight from Blake Lake's noggin to Garageband, from which we build upon as a group.
We hope this special 3-song E.P. snuggles you close this month. Stay tuned next month when AKUDAMA returns with new, full-group songs!

about

AKUDAMA Brooklyn, New York

One day, a guava made love to a banana, and an avocado was born. Upon the avocado's first attempt at rolling, it was squashed. With the cracking of its pit came the most magnificent sound, so fiercely exasperating that it caused the banana to kill the guava, make a boat out of it, and sail to America to start a rock band called Acucumba... which sounds strikingly similar to "AKUDAMA". ... more
